Madhu Sanna Rice
It is a traditional native heirloom variety of short grain raw rice which is grown in the Hassan, Holenarasipura region in Karnataka. This is a long duration rice, taking around 120 days to grow, the paddy is harvested and matured for 12 months and the rice is freshly milled to retain maximum nutrition.
The single polished variety ensures optimal cooking with a soft texture, soft slender grains and delicate flavour. It can be used for regular consumption daily for meals and is easy to digest
This rice has a Low Glycemic index (GI), is rich in antioxidants, minerals and is a great source of carbohydrates.
Cooking Instructions:
1 cup of rice and 2.5 cups of water using a steam cooker
