Cooking Instructions

1. Take 1 cup of Organic Sona Masuri white rice and rinse it well 2–3 times under running water to remove excess starch and any surface impurities.

2. Soak the rice in clean water for 20–30 minutes to help it cook evenly and achieve a softer texture.

3. After soaking, drain the water and transfer the rice to a pot or pressure cooker.

4. Add 2 to 2.5 cups of water for every 1 cup of rice, depending on your desired consistency—use less water for firm rice and more for softer rice.

5. If using a pressure cooker, cook the rice on medium heat for 2–3 whistles, then turn off the heat and allow the pressure to release naturally.

6. If cooking in an open pot, bring the rice and water to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover with a lid, and simmer for about 15–20 minutes or until the water is completely absorbed and the rice is tender.

Once cooked, let the rice sit covered for 5 minutes, then gently fluff it with a fork before serving.

Enjoy your light, aromatic, and nutritious Organic Sona Masuri white rice with your favorite side dishes!
